Tenure-Track or Tenured Faculty Position- Mechanical Engineering

The University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University (UM-SJTU) Joint Institute invitesapplications for tenure-track or tenured positions at all levels (Assistant, Associate, and Full) in Mechanical Engineering. All relatedareas will be considered while the Joint Institute particularly seeks strong candidates in the areas of Manufacturing andRobotics. Applicants must hold a doctorate degree in a relevant field. The candidates are expected to establish vigorous researchprograms and contribute to undergraduate and graduate education. Salaries are highly competitive and commensurate with qualifications andexperience.

The UM-SJTU Joint Institute receives strong support from both partner universities and the Chinese government. It offersB.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and related fields. Its ME program is the first ABET accredited mechanicalengineering program in the mainland of China, and its students are among China’s best.
