University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit an Assistant Professor in Accounting (Teaching & Learning) in Nottingham University Business School China.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Deliver teaching across a range of modules or within a subject area, providing curriculum leadership within your area of expertise.
- Be responsible for the design of course modules and/or programmes of study in your specialist area and for their quality. Where appropriate, identify the need for developing the content or structure of existing modules and make proposals on how this should be achieved.
- Provide curriculum leadership in your area of expertise; design and undertake assessments, marking, and feedback.
- Take an active role in influencing the practice of consistently excellent teaching across the academic unit by disseminating evidence-informed developments in curriculum delivery, early adoption and promotion of enabling technologies and pedagogies.
- Engage in the scholarship of teaching and learning in relation to your discipline and/or establish a national reputation in the discipline.
- Contribute to the teaching and learning policy/strategy in the academic unit.
About You
- PhD in Accounting or relevant subject area; professional qualification(s) in accounting or relevant fields such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA are desirable.
- Sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the relevant discipline to design and deliver high-quality and up-to-date course materials.
- Experience in devising, advising on, and managing teaching and learning programmes.
- Experience and demonstrated success in delivering teaching within an agreed quality framework.
- Experience in using a range of delivery techniques and technologies to inspire and engage students.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Your Remuneration, Benefits and Support
The successful candidate will be offered a five-year contract that may be extended by mutual agreement. Salary will be within the range of RMB 445,732 to RMB 586,945 per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance).
