The School of Computer Science is now seeking exceptional scholars to join us as Assistant Professors / Associate Professors / Professors in Computer Science.

About the School/Department

This is an exciting opportunity to join the School of Computer Science (www.nottingham.edu.cn/go/cs) within the Faculty of Science & Engineering at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC). The School at UNNC is part of the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham, UK (www.nottingham.ac.uk/computerscience), which is ranked among the top UK Computer Science departments. The School offers a full range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and is supported by major research grants.

Research areas include:

• Artificial Intelligence
• Big Data and Visual Analytics
• Computational Intelligence
• Machine Learning
• Software Implementation and Testing
• Applications in manufacturing, transport, healthcare, and more

About You

The successful candidate will be expected to lead and deliver lectures and seminars in topics within the School of Computer Science. We are looking for world-class research leaders in at least one of the following areas:

• Artificial Intelligence
• Software Engineering
• Human Computer Interface
• AI and Operations Research

Candidates must have a PhD in computer science or a closely related discipline, with an international reputation in research and scholarship. A proven track record in high-quality research and the ability to attract external research funding is highly desirable. Teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in an international, English-speaking environment is essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
• Assessing and examining students
• Supervising PhD students
• Conducting high-quality research
• Applying for external research grants
