Job Description
CDUTCM-Keele Joint Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, established in 2023, is a collaboration between Keele University – known for its top-ranked medical programmes in England – and CDUTCM, a leading “Double First-Class” institution in China.
The first year of the programme is an International Foundation Programme (IFP) offered by the Keele Language Centre. It covers applied English skills, academic writing, critical thinking, and general study skills to prepare students for undergraduate success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching (up to 20 class periods weekly) and hold at least 6 weekly office hours to support student learning, using methods aligned with Keele and CDUTCM standards.
- Provide academic guidance and mentorship to foster student development and success.
- Support the Head of IFP with initiatives aimed at enhancing student learning as required.
Selection Criteria:
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum two years of full-time teaching experience in English language-related subjects in higher education.
- CELTA or equivalent English language teaching qualification preferred.
- Non-native English speakers must demonstrate proficiency (IELTS 7.5 or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills and emerging leadership experience.
- Cultural adaptability and experience developing curricula for diverse educational contexts.
