The Danube Private University (DPU) is launching a new interdisciplinary PhD program in Precision and Personalized Medicine. The program is located at the Technology and Research Center, Wiener Neustadt, Austria, and is taught in English.

Program Overview

This interdisciplinary program is open to graduates from science, medicine, and engineering backgrounds. It integrates life sciences, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, and regulatory science, with training in entrepreneurship to support translation of research into real-world applications.

Program Structure

• Location: Technology and Research Center, Wiener Neustadt
• Structure: 180 ECTS (150 ECTS research, 30 ECTS coursework and academic activities)

Eligibility Requirements

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) with strong academic performance
• Exceptional bachelor’s degree holders may be considered if demonstrating equivalent research capability (e.g., publications, significant projects, or relevant industry experience)
• English language requirements: TOEFL ≥ 80 or IELTS ≥ 6.5 (may be waived if previous degrees were taught entirely in English)
