Job Description

1. Introduction to the Department

The School of Life Sciences at Peking University has a rich history, originating from the Department of Biology established in 1925, one of the earliest biology departments in China. In 1952, with the restructuring of higher education in China, the biology departments of Peking University, Yenching University, and Tsinghua University were merged to form the School of Life Sciences. Over the years, the school has expanded and established various fields of study such as biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, microbiology, environmental biology, and more. The school now boasts 2 national key laboratories, 5 national key disciplines, 8 doctoral disciplines, and more than 70 research groups in 8 primary research directions, including biochemistry and molecular biology, genetics, neurobiology, and ecology.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist the National Key Laboratory of Gene Function Research and Manipulation or the National Key Laboratory of Membrane Biology (Peking University Branch) with project research and platform construction.
  • Qualifications:
  • Age: Under 45 years old.
  • Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, biotechnology, biophysics, bioinformatics, zoology, botany, or related disciplines.
  • High-level results in life science-related interdisciplinary fields.
  • Proficient in English for academic communication, including academic writing and conference presentations.
