1. Introduction to the Department

The Department of Radio Electronics at Peking University was founded in 1958 and was renamed the "Department of Electronics" in 1996. Since September 2002, it has been part of the School of Information Science and Technology. In 2021, the university officially established the "School of Electronics," which comprises four institutes: Physical Electronics, Quantum Electronics, Applied Electronics, and Information and Communication. The School of Electronics oversees two first-level disciplines—"Electronic Science and Technology" and "Information and Communication Engineering"—along with two undergraduate majors: "Electronic Information Science and Technology" and "Electronic Information Engineering." Additionally, it offers six second-level research directions, including "Physical Electronics," "Circuits and Systems," "Electromagnetic Field and Microwave Technology," "Electronic Science and Technology (Quantum Electronics)," "Communication and Information Systems," and "Signal and Information Processing."

The department has established and operates various national and provincial research platforms, including the CTL Laboratory of Peking University, the National Key Laboratory of Photon Transmission and Communication (Beijing Experimental Zone), and the Key Laboratory of Physics and Chemistry of Nanodevices. These platforms support the department's research and development efforts across a wide range of advanced technologies in the fields of electronics and communication.

Job Responsibilities:

• Teaching and scientific research in areas related to electronics and communication technologies.

Qualifications:

• Assistant Professor / Pre-Appointed Associate Professor:

1. A Ph.D. in a relevant field.
2. Applicants for assistant professors/pre-appointed associate professors are generally not older than 35 years.
3. Postdoctoral experience or work/study experience at renowned institutions, both domestic and international, is required.
4. Strong scientific research achievements; teaching experience is preferred.

• Tenured Associate Professor / Professor:

1. A Ph.D. in a relevant field.
2. Applicants for tenured associate professor positions should generally not be older than 40, while applicants for professorships should generally not be older than 50. Age requirements can be relaxed for exceptional candidates.
3. Must have full professor or equivalent status at reputable universities, research institutions, or globally renowned enterprises.
4. World-class research level, with impactful publications in high-tier journals over the last 5 years, or significant international scientific and technological awards.
5. Strong research experience in natural sciences or engineering technology, particularly in the field of electronics and communication systems.

Research Associates/Researchers (CTL Laboratory, Peking University)

Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. degree.
2. Age for assistant researcher applicants is generally no more than 35 years, for associate researcher applicants no more than 45 years, and for researchers no more than 50 years.
3. Experience in study and work at top universities, research institutes, or internationally renowned enterprises is preferred.
4. Background in engineering technology, experimental skills, device technology, or AI research is preferred.

Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. degree, preferably not older than 35 years.
2. Good academic ethics and team spirit.
3. Experience with national key projects and impactful research outcomes.
4. Research directions: Communication and Information Systems, Signal and Information Processing, Optoelectronics.
5. Preference for candidates with over 5 years of research experience in optoelectronic chip design, high-speed optical communication systems, or semiconductor micromachining technology.
6. Postdoctoral research experience is preferred.
