Job Description
Introduction to the Department
Founded in December 2001, the School of Government at Peking University is deeply rooted in the long history and rich academic tradition of political science at the university.
Since its establishment, the School has followed an interdisciplinary development approach, bringing together strengths in political science, management, law, economics, and other fields. The School is home to four departments: Political Science, Administrative Management, Public Policy, and Urban and Regional Management. It offers a complete talent training system, covering undergraduate, master's, doctoral, MPA, MPP, and IMPA programs. The school has two first-level disciplines: Political Science and Public Administration, as well as a doctoral program in Regional Economics. Additionally, it has three postdoctoral mobile stations in Political Science, Public Administration, and Applied Economics.
The School of Government and Management plays a key role in the construction of the two "double first-class" disciplines: Political Science and Public Administration at Peking University. In the first four national discipline evaluations, Political Science ranked first, and Public Administration consistently ranked among the top three. In the fifth round of evaluations, both disciplines were rated A+.

Job Responsibilities:
- Engage in teaching and research in Political Science and Public Administration.
- Key research directions include Political Science Theory, Party Politics, Computational Politics, National Security, Emergency Management, Government Operations, and other related fields in Political Science and Public Management.
Qualifications:
- A doctorate degree in a related discipline.
- Applicants for professor positions should generally be under 50 years old.
- Applicants for associate professor positions should generally be under 40 years old.
- Applicants for assistant professor positions should generally be under 35 years old.
- Must be competent in teaching related professional courses and have the ability to teach in English.
- Have published high-level academic papers and monographs, with the potential to be a leader in the field.
- Able to guide graduate students in innovative academic research.
- Physically and mentally healthy, with good academic conduct, professional ethics, teamwork spirit, and the ability to follow the work arrangement of the department.
