The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was established in 2004 and was the first Sino-foreign University to open its doors in China with the full approval of the Chinese Ministry of Education. It is part of the University of Nottingham’s Global University, a world top 1% university (QS Ranking), with co-operation from Zhejiang Wanli Education Group, a key player in the education sector in China.

About the Role

The Vice Provost for Education and Student Experience will be a key member of UNNC’s Management Board. Working closely with the Provost, the post holder will:

• Drive the University’s commitment to delivering outstanding and engaging teaching and learning
• Raise student satisfaction across UNNC
• Lead and encourage innovations in blended and digital learning
• Represent the University externally in an ambassadorial capacity
• Support the achievement of ambitious institutional goals outlined in the University Strategy

About You

UNNC is seeking a strong, strategic leader who can convey a clear vision for the University’s teaching and learning goals and enhance the student experience. The ideal candidate will:

• Be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Have a recognised international profile as a senior academic with a focus on teaching and learning
• Be committed to engaging with students
• Have held senior academic administrative roles
• Have a proven record of innovation and operational delivery
