Faculty Position (Teaching) in Mathematics

Sichuan University–Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI), located in Chengdu, China, invites applications for a faculty position in Mathematics. The appointment may be either tenure-track or non-tenure-track at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The position is expected to commence in the Fall Semester of 2026.

Requirements

• Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or a closely related field by the time of appointment.
• Ability to teach foundational mathematics courses, including:
  • Single-variable and multivariable calculus
  • Linear algebra
  • Differential equations
• Research expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
  • Applied mathematics
  • Probability and mathematical statistics
  • Data science and data analytics
  • Optimization
  • Data mining
• Strong proficiency in oral and written English, which is the official language of instruction at SCUPI.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and sustain externally funded research programmes.
• Commitment to high-quality teaching and student engagement.
