Job Description
The Queen Mary – Nanchang Universities Joint Educational Institute is seeking candidates for the position of Lecturer in Precision Medical Sciences and Biomedical Data Sciences (Teaching & Scholarship).
About the Role
We are recruiting four Teaching and Scholarship Lecturers across two new degree programmes at the Queen Mary – Nanchang Universities Joint Educational Institute (QM-NCU JEI). Successful candidates will deliver teaching, assessment, and administrative duties across selected modules, contribute to Year 3 group project modules, and develop scholarship activities aligned with teaching and learning.

About the Joint Educational Institute
The QM-NCU JEI builds on the successful Biomedical Sciences and Clinical Medicine Joint Programme between Queen Mary and Nanchang University, established in 2013. Teaching is delivered by “Flying Faculty” who travel to Nanchang multiple times per year. When not in China, staff are based at the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences (SBBS), Mile End Campus, London.
About You
You will join a collaborative interdisciplinary team supporting student learning and development. Applicants should demonstrate strong subject expertise in Biomedical Sciences and/or Data Science, with the ability to integrate and teach across related disciplines. A PhD in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience is required.
About the School
SBBS is a supportive, inclusive, and research-led environment focused on innovative teaching. Staff will work closely with colleagues in SBBS and the QM-NCU Joint Programme in both London and Nanchang.

Salary Range
£51,755 - £60,901 per annum
