Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CDUTCM)-Keele Joint Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, established in 2023, is a collaboration between Keele University – renowned for its top-ranked medical programmes in England – and CDUTCM, a leading “Double First-Class” institution in China. We invite passionate educators to join our BSc (Hons) Public Health Management programme.
This degree equips students with transferable skills beyond public health practice, covering Health Enterprise Management, Epidemiology, Biological and Environmental Determinants of Public Health, Health Protection, and other core topics. Students gain the expertise to address modern health challenges while benefiting from rigorous academic standards and high-quality teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging teaching (up to 20 class periods weekly) and hold at least 6 office hours per week, using diverse methods aligned with Keele and CDUTCM standards.
- Provide academic support and mentorship to foster student success and personal development.
- Undertake core academic duties, contribute to curriculum development, and build a research profile.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects and guide students in developing critical thinking and research skills.
- Participate in professional development, performance reviews, and initiatives that enhance the institute’s academic environment.
Selection Criteria:
- PhD in Public Health Management, Epidemiology, or a closely related field (substantial professional experience may be considered).
- Minimum two years of higher education teaching experience; teaching certification or professional credentials preferred.
- Emerging or established research profile, including publications, external funding, or supervision of students.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with cultural adaptability and experience developing curricula for diverse contexts.
- Commitment to student success, research, and academic excellence.
