Introduction to the Department

The Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research (IMC) was founded in 2005 with state funding and is dedicated to conducting research on cutting-edge problems in mathematics. Its mission is to foster the development of world-class mathematicians and create a platform for the exchange of mathematical ideas and research results.

The Mathematics Center is located in Jingchun Garden and Langrun Garden, on the north bank of Weiming Lake at Peking University, occupying more than 7,000 square meters. The area is historically significant as the former site of the Qing Dynasty's imperial palace and contains seven traditional Chinese buildings, including Quanzhai, Huaixin Garden, and Huaining Garden.

The center has made significant strides in building a top-tier talent pool, strengthening academic exchanges, and improving mechanisms for attracting, hiring, and cultivating talent. The IMC focuses on recruiting world-renowned mathematicians and creating an innovative environment for research and cooperation. It continues to push forward in deepening its academic influence and fostering an international research community.

• Job Responsibilities:Improve the performance of large language models (LLMs) on automatic reasoning tasks, including data synthesis, preprocessing, parameter tuning, and instruction fine-tuning.
• Manage the research team and integrate AI tools for intelligent twins in vertical domains.
• Qualifications:Ph.D. in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields (typically under 40 years of age).
• Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.
• Proficiency in CNN, LSTM, Transformer, BERT, XLNET, etc.
• Familiarity with distributed reinforcement learning, formal verification systems, or large-scale model development (preferred).
• Strong understanding of at least one area of mathematics.
