Opportunity

Surrey International Institute is seeking an experienced Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the following areas:

• Business Law
• Digital Business and Analytics
• Management Information Systems
• Digital Entrepreneurship and Project Management
• International Business Strategy
• Fundamental of Business

This is an exciting time to join the team, as we have redesigned the curriculum of International Business Management, focusing on the digitalisation of business. You will also work closely with the University of Surrey’s module leader in delivering modules on the China campus.

Qualification

• A Ph.D. in Business Management or a closely related field with a recent record of scholarship in peer-reviewed journals is preferred.
• Alternatively, a Master's degree in Business Management with relevant industry/professional experience will be considered.
• Doctoral degree in Business Management, preferably with teaching/industrial experience.
• Ability to design and teach courses in International Business Management and broader fundamentals of Digital Business Management at the undergraduate level.
• At least two years of teaching experience is preferred.
• Awareness of quality assurance processes in UK higher education.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively with colleagues, and take initiative.
• UK and international teaching experience preferred.
• Teaching qualification certificate is an advantage.

Remuneration Package

• Applicants not fully meeting all criteria or completing PhDs may still be considered with adjusted salaries and conditions.

Role

• Proven undergraduate teaching experience along with relevant professional experience.
• Developing new teaching methods to enhance student interaction and learning.
• Teaching undergraduate modules in International Business Management disciplines. View list of modules.

Responsibilities

• Planning, delivering, and critically reviewing teaching and assessment activities.
• Setting and marking coursework, practical sessions, and examinations with constructive feedback.
• Providing consultation hours, personal tutoring, and extra support for students.
• Participating in peer observations and staff development initiatives to improve teaching quality.
