In support of the development of trans-disciplinary research and education at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Guangzhou Campus (HKUST (GZ)), we recruit Research Assistant Professor/Postdoctoral Fellow covering broad areas of innovation studies, public policy and entrepreneurship.

Qualification of Candidates

Specifically, we are seeking candidates with background in the following areas:

• Green finance
• Urbanization and low carbon city
• Collaborative governance on sustainability
• Climate change and energy transition
• Technology, society and risk management
• Big data analytics
• Spatial econometrics
• Smart city
• Urban governance
• Social equity

As the members of the Innovation, Policy and Entrepreneurship (IPE) Thrust, the appointees are expected to demonstrate strong potential for securing research grants as well as playing a key role in developing both theoretical and applied thematic area research. Candidates must receive their PhD degree latest by August 2021.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

Salary is highly competitive of international standard and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Generous research funds, ample laboratory space and excellent research equipment and support will be provided.

All posts are appointments in Chinese Mainland and offered by the HKUST Mainland entity in accordance with the local employment laws and regulations. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
