Wenzhou-Kean University:

Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU), located in Wenzhou, China, is one of three Sino-American universities along with NYU Shanghai and Duke Kunshan University. It is approved by the Ministry of Education of China. Launched in 2012, WKU offers a unique model of higher education in partnership with Kean University, a comprehensive, public university in New Jersey accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The College of Business and Public Management is an AACSB-accredited business school.

Wenzhou is one of the most vibrant and economically advanced cities on China’s East Coast, located one hour by plane and three hours by high-speed train from Shanghai.

WKU sits on approximately 500 beautiful acres and currently enrolls about 5,000 students. The university is in the midst of rapid growth, aiming to reach 8,500 students within five years. All instruction is in English and all curriculum is provided by Kean University.

Position Information:

• Full-time, 10-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Global Business starting Fall 2025 (August 16).
• Teach Global Business and related undergraduate and graduate (MBA) courses.
• Engage in research, student advising, and university service.
• Classes may be scheduled on weekdays or weekends, days or evenings.
• Standard teaching: 4 days/week during Fall and Spring semesters; 5 days/week during Winter (3 weeks) or Summer (4 weeks) sessions.
• Teaching load: 24 credits (8 courses) per year, with a 6-credit release for the first 3 years based on research output.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• PhD in Global Business or related business field.
• Proven publication record in indexed peer-reviewed journals.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Experience teaching undergraduate and MBA students.
• Industry or consulting experience.
• Flexibility and willingness to teach related courses.

Desirable:

• Successful research grant activity.
