Digital Content & Social Media Intern

Position Overview

We are looking for a talented, energetic, and video-savvy individual to join Duke Kunshan University’s China Enrollment Management Office (CEM). S/He will play a vital role in planning and producing creative social content to support DKU undergraduate recruitment and yielding efforts. The ideal candidate should be innovative in thinking and accountable in execution, able to translate DKU’s undergraduate program highlights into creative articles/videos that appeal to prospective students and parents.

Senior Specialist of Marketing & Communications

Essential Duties

• Assist with CEM WeChat/RED/Bilibili content planning and production

1. Support/lead video projects, including script write-up, filming and editing;
2. Write, edit and proofread articles featuring undergraduate students/faculty members;
3. Manage and update the content library for regular internal review;

• Market research

1. Keep track of new competitor initiatives and industry trend;

• Data analysis

1. Monitor WeChat channel performance and generate insights for optimization;

• Ad-hoc administrative work to support WeChat channel operations;
• Other tasks as assigned internally.

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Graduate student in good academic standing with background in media or creative field;
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
• Manage to work 5 days per week, continuously for 3 months and above;
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Highly self-motivated individual with a “can-do” attitude and good work ethics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Video expert proficient with video editing software; experience as cameraman will be a plus; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (PR/AE/PS/AI) will also be a plus;
• Excellent writing and copyediting skills; experience running WeChat a official account or editing news or magazines will be a plus;
• Ability to read and understand data, identify patterns and generate reports;
• Multi-tasker with attention to detail, capable of balancing tight deadlines while delivering quality work.
