Position Overview

We are seeking applications for an open position as the Postdoctoral fellow for the Medical Physics Research Lab. The Medical Physics research facility supports faculty, staff, research fellows and students to pursue a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary research activities related to medical physics.  Built upon a premier Sino-US joint-venture university, Medical Physics will integrate global culture, train skillful talents, create innovative technologies and facilitate transformative precision health care. Postdoctoral Research Fellow will initially play an important role in developing research activities in medical imaging, radiation therapy physics and deep-learning modelling in medical physics, with a later focus on helping to develop into upper-level and interdisciplinary medical physics research program.  The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be responsible for conducting ongoing research projects, developing the experiments, and assisting other students to conduct research. The specific research project would be defined and modified by the supervisor.

Essential Duties

  • Conduct research activities in radiation therapy physics, medical imaging physics and nuclear medicine physics as defined by the supervisor.
  • Assist research activities for other researchers and students in the lab.
  • Assist in funding applications and publications.
  • Conducts research and write papers for publication.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all the lab hardware and software; equipment, computer, and track changes, depreciation and disposal of equipment.
  • Work with faculty to develop and review manuals and instruction for upper-level and interdisciplinary research laboratory.
  • Assist in student teaching.
  • Work toward achieving assigned annual objectives and KPIs, demonstrating accountability for performance and results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • A PhD in Medical Physics or related fields is required.
  • Working experience in the specialty area or related areas is preferred.
  • Good organizational skills and knowledge of applicable rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, tools, and application methods.
  • Working experience and knowledge of best practices for applying of Medical Physics related software and equipment.
  • Fluency in English.

Education

  • A PhD in Medical Physics or related fields is required.

Years of Related Working Experience

  • Execellent fresh graduates or candidates with relevant 1-2 years of working experiences are considered.
