Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork with the Stroke Research and Prevention Group of HKU (stroke.hku.hk) to assist in neuroimaging data acquisition and analysis, write-up of the results, as well as training of studentsApply image analysis skills on clinical and research MRI techniques and sequences to study patients with stroke and dementia, or at risk of these conditions, in large cohort studies as well as randomized controlled trialsPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsA Ph. D. degree in Neuroimaging, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or other related disciplines, with experience or keen interest in processing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), such as arterial spin labeling and diffusion tractography using programming scripts, such as Python and C++Self-driven, motivated, and creative in designing image analysis pipeline according to project requirementsA good communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English and ChineseAble to work independently and in a multidisciplinary teamExperience in image analysis packages such as Freesurfer, FSL, SPM, or 3DSlicer, or using machine learning or artificial intelligence models would be advantageousWhat We OfferThe appointee would be exposed to ample opportunities in developing an academic career.

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 1 to 3 year(s), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
