Position Summary

The Department of Special Education seeks Lecturers in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for full-time, non-tenure-track positions starting Fall 2026 (August 16). Contracts are 3 years, renewable upon review.

  • Teaching load: 30 credits per academic year (10-month contract)
  • Courses: Up to 3 different courses, average class size 20–25 students
  • Responsibilities: Teaching, advising, mentoring, curriculum development, program assessment, recruitment, and professional collaboration
  • Assignments may include day, evening, and weekend classes

Key Position Responsibilities

  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver postgraduate-level courses in ABA and Autism Spectrum Disorders; design and update course materials.
  • Graduate Supervision and Advising: Supervise dissertations, research design, data analysis, and practicum placements.
  • Program and Institutional Service: Participate in committees, support recruitment, and build partnerships.
  • Professional Engagement: Maintain active membership in associations, foster collaboration with local and international institutions.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $65,000–$70,000 annually (10-month contract)

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in ABA, Behavior Management, or Special Education (Behavior Analysis specialization)
  • BCBA-D or BCBA certification with formal ABA training
  • Experience with educational technologies (e.g., Canvas); AI in education is a plus
  • Ability to supervise graduate students in research and practicum settings

Preferred Qualifications

  • International collaboration or cross-cultural teaching experience
  • Commitment to inclusive education and evidence-based ABA interventions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
