About the Role

Surrey International Institute is seeking an experienced Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Marketing. Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:

• Supply Chain Management with Analytics
• Business Management and Analytics
• Management Information Systems
• Applied Analytics in Business
• Business Analytics Consultancy
• Fundamentals of Business Analytics

You will also work closely with the University of Surrey's module leaders in delivering modules on the China campus.

Responsibilities

• Planning, delivering, and critically reviewing various teaching and assessment activities appropriate to students' levels.
• Setting and/or promptly marking coursework, practical sessions, and examinations, and providing appropriate feedback to students according to marking rubrics.
• Providing regular consultation times, personal tutoring, and extra-curricular support for students seeking guidance on their subjects, advice on assessments, or related issues.
• Participating in peer classroom observations or other staff development initiatives to improve quality.

• The salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience, but will compare favourably with leading Chinese universities.

Qualifications

• A doctoral degree in the discipline of business management with analytics or a closely related field, preferably with teaching or industrial experience.
• A recent record of scholarship published in peer-reviewed journals is preferred.
• The successful applicant should be able to design and teach courses in business management with analytics and teach a broader area of fundamentals of business management with analytics at the undergraduate level.
• At least two years of teaching experience.
• Awareness of quality assurance processes in UK higher education.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, maintain effective communication with colleagues, and use initiative to resolve problems or find information.
• UK and international teaching experience is preferable.
• A certificate in teaching qualification is preferable.
