Job Description

Duke Kunshan University is hiring a Research Fellow in Data and Computational Science (Molecular Docking).

Position Overview

This position will undertake a study in Computer-Aided Drug Discovery / Design. The goal is utilizing Deep Learning to build strong and robust models for Molecular Docking. Although this position is under a one-year contract funded by a specific grant, strong performance may lead to contract extensions and promotion to support additional research duties.

Essential Duties

  • Performing the specified research tasks in using Deep Learning for Molecular Docking.
  • Publishing at least one peer-reviewed article as the first author.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • University employees' job responsibilities will continue to expand in scope and depth as the University grows in size and complexity in its programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Background knowledge in Computational Chemistry, particularly Molecular Docking, and experience with existing docking and programming libraries.
  • Practical knowledge in popular Machine Learning / Deep Learning libraries in Python such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Effective communication and writing skills in English.

Education

Master’s or Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or another related discipline.

Years of Related Working Experience

Research experience after a Master’s degree is a plus but not required.
