About the Institute

Nanjing University Global Intellectual Property Institute is one of the first new research institutes built by Nanjing University in its high-starting point and high-quality Suzhou campus. It is also an important part of the "one body and two wings" strategy of Nanjing University Law School. It aims to be based in Suzhou, one of the centers of Chinese modernization and real economy. Description

The Nanjing University Global Intellectual Property Institute plans to recruit Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The research directions of the proposed positions are mainly as follows:

• Intellectual property law, especially patent law
• Intellectual property in emerging fields, such as big data, artificial intelligence, digital economy, biomedicine, international relations, global governance and other fields
• Intellectual property strategic management
• Technology law, digital governance and other fields that intersect with intellectual property law

Qualifications

• Commitment to academic teaching and research, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• High standards of professional conduct, including adherence to teaching and research ethics; no history of criminal convictions or academic misconduct.
• Strong academic background: Ph.D. in a closely related field. Candidates should have experience studying and working in leading research institutions, with a demonstrated record of academic excellence.
• For tenure-track Assistant Professor roles, ideally, at least two years of postdoctoral research experience.
• For tenure-track Associate Professor roles, ideally, at least four years of postdoctoral research experience.
• Proven teaching ability, including the capacity to deliver core and advanced courses effectively. Candidates should be familiar with modern teaching methodologies and possess strong verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated research excellence and potential for continued academic development: a solid record of innovative research with international visibility and a clear and ambitious research agenda.
