SKEMA Business School (https://www.skema.edu/) and the Knowledge, Technology and Organisation (KTO) Research Centre invite applications for an open-rank position in Innovation or Information Systems, beginning in August 2027. The successful candidate will develop and/or lead academic research projects with the aim of publishing in the field’s highest-quality journals.

The position is permanent and full-time. Salary and conditions are competitive and in line with international standards. SKEMA Business School offers publication bonuses for peer-reviewed publications. The language of work and teaching is English. Knowledge of French is not required and is not a criterion for selection.

Qualifications must include:

Hold or be about to complete a Ph.D. in innovation, information systems, strategy, management, entrepreneurship, applied economics, or a related field.

Strong evidence of research productivity and/or demonstrable potential to publish research in leading international academic journals.

For appointment above the Assistant Professor level, an established publication record and academic profile commensurate with the rank sought.

Teaching excellence or strong teaching potential in innovation, information systems, or related fields.

Ability to work as part of a team in a collegial environment.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Commitment to academic service and/or outreach activities.

Expectations:

Publish peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals.

Teach courses in innovation, information systems, and related areas of management.

Supervise master’s students.

Demonstrate academic citizenship, contribute to the life of the institution, and participate in projects related to the School’s strategy.

ABOUT RESEARCH

The candidate will be a member of the Knowledge, Technology and Organisation (KTO) research centre. KTO includes 34 members doing research in management and innovation-related fields (economics, organization, strategy, entrepreneurship, and organizational behaviour) and 16 Ph.D. students from the SKEMA Ph.D. Program. KTO members collaborate across the French campuses of Lille, Paris, and Sophia Antipolis, together with the Brazilian campus of Belo Horizonte, and it is expanding in the Chinese campus of Suzhou and the American campus of Raleigh. KTO organizes regular research seminars and hosts international workshops. SKEMA offers its faculty publication bonuses for peer-reviewed publications.
