About the Program

XJTLU’s postdoctoral programs are jointly run with Chinese state universities and managed by XTTC (Technology Transfer Centre). The program provides access to national and provincial research funding, career development support, and potential academic appointments post-completion.

Project Overview

This postdoctoral position focuses on developing a cutting-edge Multi-Modal Large Language Model (MLLM) for automated medical image analysis (MIA), including tasks like inspection and segmentation. The project will integrate language models with visual data, creating an intelligent system capable of understanding medical images and generating meaningful diagnostic narratives.

Key Goals:

• Build a novel MLLM architecture
• Train on diverse medical image-text datasets
• Improve accuracy and efficiency in medical diagnostics
• Deliver impactful publications and potential deployment tools

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments on MLLM development
• Collect and analyze multi-modal data
• Publish in top-tier journals and present at conferences
• Support grant writing and collaborative proposals
• Maintain ethical and safe research practices

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields
• Strong foundation in deep learning, machine learning, and statistics
• Proven research record with publications
• Excellent English communication skills
• Familiarity with grant writing is a plus
• Open to international candidates; work visa sponsorship provided

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: ¥600–700K for 2 years
• Government Housing Subsidy: ¥7,500/month
• Post-completion Relocation Allowance: ¥300K (for staying in Suzhou)
