Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Biology

Position Overview

A cell signaling and drug discovery lab is seeking self-motivated postdoctoral fellows with strong backgrounds in molecular and cellular biology or medicinal chemistry. One of the main goals of the lab is to develop novel small molecules targeting intracellular signaling related to anticancer immunity and/or virus-host interaction. The appointee(s) will engage in research on endosomal trafficking, autophagy, tumor metastasis, anticancer immunity, virus infection, and related pathways. Appointee(s) will have the opportunity to work with researchers at the cutting edge of cell biology and drug discovery for further career advancement.

Prof. Jianbo Yue, Professor of Biology

Essential Duties

• Carry out research projects.
• Design and conduct laboratory experiments.
• Analyze research data and write manuscripts.
• Supervise students and research assistants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• University employees' job responsibilities will continue to expand in scope and depth as the University grows in size and complexity in its programs.

Required Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, Biology, or a related field is required.
• Extensive experience in medicinal chemistry or cell signaling research.
• Demonstrated track record of independent research through peer-reviewed publications.
• Background in organic chemistry, virology, or experimental tumor models is preferred.

Education

A Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, Biology or a related field is required.

Years of Related Working Experience

Excellent fresh graduates or candidates with years of relevant experience are considered.
