About the Role
The successful candidate will be expected to make a significant leadership impact within their academic unit and engage in individual and collaborative research in the area of Power Electronic, Machine and Control.
The role holder will be expected to:
- Conduct and lead high-caliber, impactful research at the forefront of Power Electronic, Machine and Control.
- Demonstrate exceptional research leadership within their academic unit and the broader scholarly community.
- Spearhead the development and execution of long-term research strategies aligned with the University’s objectives.
- Secure substantial external funding to sustain large-scale, interdisciplinary projects.
- Actively shape the intellectual agenda of their specialist area, influencing public policy or industry practices.
- Enhance the University’s international reputation as a hub for cutting-edge research.
About You
- PhD degree in Power Electronics, Machines, and Drives or a closely related field.
- Proven track record in leading high-impact interdisciplinary research.
- Successful record of securing major grants and delivering transformative research results.
- Strong research and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Commitment to mentoring early-career researchers.
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive research environment.
Remuneration and Benefits
Salary will be within the range of 628,750 RMB to 772,893 RMB per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance).
An attractive package including employment support allowance, schooling, and insurance will be provided for international appointments.
Contract and Start Date
The post will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract with the University of Nottingham Ningbo China for a period of 3 years starting August 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
