Research Fellow in Biology (Bachelor's degree is qualified)

Position Overview

Supports lab research by assisting with experiments, coordinating projects, and managing lab operations. Works closely with faculty and team members to ensure research goals are met.

Reports to

Prof. Huansheng Cao, Assistant Professor of Environmental Science

Essential Duties

• Assist researchers and students in experimental design, execution, and data analysis.
• Coordinate different research projects to ensure they progress on schedule.
• Participate in research experiments, provide technical support, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Coordinate the work of the laboratory team to ensure collaboration among team members.
• Manage the laboratory budget, including resource procurement and maintenance costs.
• Collaborate with professors or research supervisors to advance the laboratory's research objectives.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• University employees' job responsibilities will continue to expand in scope and depth as the University grows in the size and complexity of its programs.

Required Qualifications

• Communication Skills: Maintain effective communication with laboratory members, students, and faculty to coordinate laboratory activities. Negotiate and collaborate with vendors and external organizations.
• Technical Expertise: Possess specialized knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment. Be capable of troubleshooting technical issues that arise during experiments.

Education

Full-time bachelor’s degree or above.

Years of Related Working Experience

At least 1–2 year(s) of experience in biological laboratory work or related experimental research.
