Research Assistant in Green Finance

Position Overview

The Initiative for Sustainable Investment (ISI) at Duke Kunshan University seeks to hire one full-time research assistant in green finance. The position primarily involves empirical research in ESG, climate finance, and sustainable investing. We are particularly interested in candidates who can conduct data-driven analyses of the economic and financial impacts of climate change.

Reports to

Prof. Junjie Zhang, Director of ISI

Essential Duties

• Keep track of the research and practice in the field of green finance.
• Fully participate in research project development and implementation, including but not limited to collecting and organizing data, establishing research framework, conducting quantitative analysis, and writing research reports.
• Assist the team in communicating and cooperating with governments, research institutions, enterprises, financial institutions, and other partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• University employees' job responsibilities will continue to expand in scope and depth as the University grows in size and complexity in its programs.

Required Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Chinese speaking and writing.
• Responsible for assigned tasks and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.

Education

A master’s or Ph.D. degree in economics, finance, data science, environmental studies, meteorology, or other related fields.

Years of Related Working Experience

Fresh graduates will be considered.
