The University of Nottingham Ningbo Chinais looking for a Senior Mental Health Advisor to join the Health and Wellbeing Centre.

UNNC is looking for a Senior Mental Health Advisor to join the Health and Wellbeing Centre.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 professional mental health support sessions to students experiencing significant mental health difficulties.
- Respond to critical incidents and act as a point of escalation for safety or safeguarding concerns, alongside the Director of Wellbeing Services.
- Evaluate service provision, identify gaps, and adjust delivery to meet evolving student needs.
- Advise and support university staff, including developing staff wellbeing knowledge and skills.
- Ensure timely clinical supervision and consistent, ethical, and safe delivery of mental health support by the Mental Health Advisor team.
- Contribute to psychoeducational workshops and the creation and promotion of self-help resources.
About You
- Master’s degree in Psychology (psychological counselling), Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline.
- Significant clinical experience in psychological counselling, mental health, social work, or related fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, management, and safeguarding.
- Relevant psychological qualifications from the UK, New Zealand, Australia, U.S., or Canada are preferred.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Salary range: RMB 267,233 to RMB 376,021 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
- Salary progression beyond the scale is subject to performance.
- Initial fixed-term contract for 3 years starting August 2025, with the potential for extension to an indefinite contract by mutual agreement.
