The University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Senior Research Fellow in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (OUTSOURCED) in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Your Responsibility
The successful candidate will lead and deliver individual and collaborative research in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and contribute to the direction of research programmes within the Department. The role will be connected to research activities including the UNNC Sir Peter Mansfield MRI Centre.
Main responsibilities include:
- Lead, plan, develop, and conduct research projects individually or collaboratively.
- Acquire, analyse, interpret, and evaluate research data using selected or developed methodologies.
- Establish a national reputation through dissemination via peer-reviewed publications, conferences, and other media.
- Generate income by securing support for research proposals and funding bids.
- Manage research methodologies and investigate innovative research methods where necessary.
- Communicate complex ideas effectively to both specialists and non-specialists.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally, nationally and internationally.
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective research delivery.
- Resolve research-related issues and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Ensure compliance with University Safety Policy in the workplace.
- Participate in staff training and development activities.
- Maintain professional development and academic awareness.
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably required.
About You
- PhD in a relevant subject area.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and academic writing skills in English.
- Proficiency in lab techniques and analytical methods related to catalysis and materials science.
- Extensive research experience in the subject area.
- Consistent record of published research.
- Demonstrated success in delivering impactful research outcomes.
