Position Overview
The successful candidate will work with Prof. Zuchuan Li at Duke Kunshan University to develop state-of-the-art deep learning methods and apply them to large-scale satellite remote sensing observations to advance understanding of global aquatic biogeochemical cycles. The research will address fundamental questions in ocean biogeochemistry, including the spatial and temporal dynamics of primary production.
The project lies at the intersection of Bayesian statistics, machine learning, and satellite remote sensing, offering opportunities to develop cutting-edge machine learning methods while addressing important questions in environmental sciences. Candidates with a strong background in machine learning is required, with experience in deep learning, scientific machine learning, or remote sensing particularly welcome.
