Research Fellow in Math and Biology

Position Overview

Wang-Cai Biochemistry Lab at Duke Kunshan University is recruiting a Research Fellow, who will participate in an interdisciplinary research project on math, computational biology and biochemistry. 

Reports to

Prof. Linfeng Huang, Associate Professor of Biology, with a dotted reporting line to Prof. Xiaoqian Xu, Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Essential Duties

• Conduct research using computational and bioinformatic approaches;
• Develop computer programs and pipelines to assist wet lab research data analysis;
• Conduct literature review, prepare reports and write manuscripts;
• Assisted in research project management;
• Perform other duties as assigned;
• University employees' job responsibilities will continue to expand in scope and depth as the University grows in size and complexity in its programs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in bioinformatics, math, biology or related majors;
• MSc degree is preferred;
• Having advanced computational or mathematical skills;
• Preferred to have knowledge or experience of bioinformatics or biological research.

Education

Full-time bachelor’s degree or above, major in in bioinformatics, math, biology or other related majors.

Years of Related Working Experience

Excellent fresh graduate will be considered. 1-2 years' related work experience are preferred.
