Position Overview
We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the RNA Biology Group of Dr. Xianzhi Lin, within the Division of Natural and Applied Sciences and the Global Health Research Center at Duke Kunshan University.
The Lin group employs ovarian cancer as a model system to investigate the molecular mechanisms of cancer initiation and progression, with a focus on long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs). Using molecular and genetic approaches, we interrogate the functions of oncogenic and tumor-suppressive lncRNAs and identify their interacting protein partners through RNA- and protein-centric methodologies. These lncRNAs and their binding partners represent potential therapeutic targets for cancer intervention.
The appointee will lead projects investigating the functional role and underlying mechanisms of lncRNA UCA1 in drug resistance. Research will involve identifying lncRNA target genes, binding partners, and elucidating regulatory mechanisms using advanced techniques.
