The College of Industry-Entrepreneurs (CIE) at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is an interdisciplinary platform that integrates industry research, solution design, talent development, and think tank services. Funded by community and industry contributions, CIE operates with a hybrid governance model combining academic rigor and business efficiency. It aims to develop X-Eco Mall, empower Industry-Entrepreneurs, and contribute to sustainable societal development. Through its research centres, CIE builds innovation ecosystems that bridge academia, industry, and society, promoting strategic transformation and technological advancement.
ABOUT HeXie Management Research Centre (HeXie Academy)
The HeXie Management Research Centre is a research and innovation platform focused on the application of HeXie Management Theory across management, education, and sociology. It supports original research, interdisciplinary training, and educational innovation with a vision to contribute to high-quality social and industrial development. Key research areas include digital and intelligent ecosystems, future social governance, and sustainable development, covering topics such as digital transformation, ageing society, ESG strategy, and green economy.
Job Description
1. Market Development & Opportunity Analysis
• Identify and evaluate business opportunities aligned with institutional strategic focus and industry trends.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform business development and programme design.
• Monitor industry developments and emerging market needs to generate actionable insights.
2. Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Management
• Build and maintain effective relationships with industry partners, research institutions, and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as a liaison to align external client needs with internal capabilities, facilitating co-developed solutions.
• Coordinate partnerships effectively, ensuring strong stakeholder communication and sustainable collaboration.
3. Project Management
• Manage the full lifecycle of projects—from bidding, proposal development, initiation, and execution through to final closure.
• Prepare high-quality bidding materials and proposals in collaboration with academic and operational teams.
• Design and implement customised training programmes, ensuring practical content, effective delivery, and alignment with sustainability and client objectives.
• Oversee logistics, execution, stakeholder communication, documentation, and post-programme evaluation, ensuring compliance with institutional standards.
• Integrate client and market feedback to enhance continuous improvement in training and project delivery.
4. Strategic Contribution & Organisational Development
• Support strategic planning processes and contribute actively to operational enhancements.
• Participate in organisational development initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
• Undertake business travel and other tasks assigned by management.
Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above, preferably in Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of full-time work experience in the higher education or research institution sector.
- Strong bilingual communication skills (Chinese and English), with proven ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional tasks and deliver results in a collaborative environment.
- Proven experience in coordinating and delivering projects, with strong skills in planning, execution, and process management.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in managing institutional or externally facing initiatives, particularly those involving stakeholder engagement or public interaction.
- Experience in developing and delivering training, outreach, or educational programmes tailored to diverse audiences.
- Strong service orientation and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Cross-cultural or international work experience, with demonstrated adaptability in diverse organizational settings.
