Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Full-lifecycle Management of Instruments
a. Instrument Maintenance & Repair: Take charge of the management of multiple core instruments. Independently perform routine and formulate preventive maintenance, respond to and resolve routine instrument faults, and coordinate with engineers to repair complex malfunctions.
b. User Training & Access Assessment: Deliver bilingual instrument operation training for users and grant instrument access to users who pass assessment. Organize advanced training upon user requests, covering data analysis, parameter optimization, method development and other topics.
c. Technical Support & Sample Testing: Promptly address users’ experimental inquiries and resolve instrument-related technical issues. Undertake user sample testing and reasonably arrange instrument scheduling.
d. Support for New Instrument Procurement: Assist in demand research, model comparison, procurement application, site preparation, installation and acceptance of new instruments in line with the center’s actual demands.
2. Laboratory Management
a. Safety & Environmental Maintenance: Participate in laboratory safety inspections and ensure rectification of hidden hazards. Regularly check the environmental conditions for instruments and resolve abnormal issues. Dispose hazardous waste properly without unauthorized storage.
b. Zoning Layout & Space Administration: Follow the 7S rule for daily laboratory management. Separate functional areas to avoid cross-contamination, optimize unreasonable layouts, and keep the laboratory tidy.
c. User Compliance Management: Supervise users to follow instrument and safety rules, respond to user needs promptly and maintain smooth communication.
d. Spare Parts & Material Control: Manage instrument spare parts, reagents and consumables including application, warehousing, collection and inventory checks. Establish dynamic ledgers to guarantee consistent physical stock and records.
3. Document Development & Team Empowerment
a. Establish & Update Document System: Compile and revise bilingual technical documents including instrument SOPs, training materials and experimental protocols. Participate in drafting, revising and optimizing laboratory management regulations and workflows.
b. Team Empowerment: Proactively share practical experience about instrument and laboratory to improve overall team efficiency. Cooperate with line manager or director on administrative coordination to sustain steady operation of the center.
Qualifications:
1. Education & Work Experience
a. Master’s degree in Biology, Pharmacy, Medicine or other related disciplines
b. Minimum 2 years of working experience in laboratory operation and instrument management.
2. Professional Competencies
a. Candidates proficient in operating and managing one or more large precision instruments are preferred.
b. Solid experimental skills capable of independently conducting standard basic experiments.
c. Familiar with laboratory safety and daily management systems, relevant industrial safety standards, and capable of identifying safety hazards.
3. Comprehensive Qualities
a. Strong sense of responsibility, rigorous and meticulous to ensure standardized instrument administration and laboratory operation.
b. Excellent teamwork awareness to support parallel multi-task assignments.
c. Patient communication skills to address user demands and conduct efficient cross-department collaboration.
d. High execution ability to respond promptly and deliver assigned tasks efficiently.
4. Language Proficiency
a. Excellent Chinese and English reading & writing skills; able to comprehend professional materials such as instrument manuals, industrial standards and technical documents.
b. Adaptable to English working environment with competent bilingual verbal communication skills.
