Intern for Community-Based and Experiential Learning

Position Overview

The full-time Intern for the Duke Kunshan University Office of Student Experience works as a member of a team supporting all activities tied to the program. The Intern for Community-Based and Experiential Learning work closely with the Community-Based and Experiential Learning team to provide administrative support for the program, including program activities, program logistics, and admissions.

Reports to

Assistant Director of Community-Based and Experiential Learning 

Essential Duties

1. Assist in the planning and execution of undergraduate (UG) class field trips, including logistical coordination, community outreach, and on-site support.
2. Support the arrangement of guest speaker sessions and class activities to enhance the academic curriculum.
3. Provide support for the Community-Based Learning Program and other local community engagement student activities by helping with coordinate student activities, maintain partnerships with local community organizations, etc.
4. Draft and edit engaging articles, blog posts, and promotional copy to highlight upcoming events and recap past ones.
5. Curate and organize digital content (photos, videos, recaps) from events to build a searchable historical archive.
6. Assist in daily administration for the Community-Based and Experiential Learning team and provide support for the other team members when needed.
7. Other tasks as assigned.  

Required Qualifications

1. Graduating students, currently enrolled university students or recent graduates who can work full time Monday to Friday in Kunshan.
2. Candidates with relevant internship or work experience are preferred.
3. Reliable, mature, highly organized, detail-oriented and a quick learner.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese. 
5. Ability to work within a team environment.

Education

Full-time bachelor’s degree or above, major in human resources, business administration, psychology, organizational development, management and English preferred.
